Manejo nutricional y Control Metabólico en la Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 1/Revisión Bibliográfica

El presente artículo constituye una revisión bibliográfica que recopila y examina la evidencia científica disponible sobre el impacto de las intervenciones dietéticas nutricionales en el control metabólico de pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 (DM1). Se analizan estrategias clave como el conteo de carbohidratos, las dietas de bajo índice glucémico y los patrones dietéticos integrales, entre otras, evaluando su efecto sobre indicadores clínicos como la hemoglobina glicosilada (HbA1c), la variabilidad glucémica y la sostenibilidad de los resultados a través de la adherencia terapéutica. Entre los hallazgos más relevantes, se destaca que el control glucémico mejora significativamente cuando se aplican estrategias nutricionales personalizadas, especialmente si se apoyan en herramientas tecnológicas y educativas que fomentan la autonomía del paciente, en el marco de un seguimiento continuo por parte de un equipo multidisciplinario.
